Award document grouping of "Unteroffizier" Kurt Dunkel who served within Gren.Rgt.553 of the 329.Inf.Div.

1) EK I award document which is dated 18-1-1944 and which has been signed by "Generalmajor" Paul Gurran (RK 12-9-1941)
2) "Infanterie-Sturmabzeichen" award document which is dated 11-4-1944 and has been signed by the regimental commander.

3) "Nahkampfspange" in bronce award document which has been issued at the very same day as the "Infanterie-Sturmabzeichen".

4) Wehrpaß substitute as the first edition was lost due to enemy influences.
The document is dated 18-5-1945 and gives interesting info about Dunkels units and actions.
Dunkel had already seen lots of action in France (1940) and in Russia (3 years).

Dunkel served within Füs.Ers.Batl.39 of the 476.Inf.Div.and was involved in "Abwehrkämpfe zwischen Maas und Niederrhrhein" (defensive struggles between the river Maas and lower Rhine) from September 1944 till March 1945.

Meanwhile Dunkel served within Heeres Fest.Art.Abt.1512 under command of the 1.Fallsch.Armee (Student)

Finally he participated in defensive struggles in Holland til 10-5-1945 !!!
