Wehrpaß WH (Heer) - 45.Inf.Div. - Pi. - Eli

Wehrpaß of Paul Eli who served within several different pioneer units but mainly within the Pi.81 of the 45.Inf.Div.

Eli was a well trained pioneer and has been involved in fightings in Poland (1939/41),France and Russia.

The long "Gefechtskalender", explaines why Eli was awarded the BWB, the "Deutsches Schutzwall-Ehrenzeichen", the "Ostmedaille",the EK II, the "Erinnerungsmedaille 1-10-1938", the Sturmabzeichen,the EK I and the SWB for his efforts.

The Wehrpaß comes with 2 interesting documents concerning his "Sturmabzeichens" and his severe wounds by a enemy mine which let to an underarm amputation.

This was the end of his active career.
