Wandel was KIA on 14-1-1943 when his commandpost was overrun at Rossosch/Chilino (Russia).

2) EK II citation which has been signed by "Generalleutnant" and commander of the 121.Inf.Div. Fritz Lindemann (RK 4-9-1941,DKiG 23-8-1942)

Lindemann was one of the attackers of 20-7-1944 on A.H.
Lindemann was finally shot by the Gestapo and died of wounds on 22-9-1944.
