Wehrpaß grouping - 356.Inf.Div./Fschj.Rgt.1"Kampfgruppe Schülz" - Ahrens -

Wehrpass with various additional documents of "Gefreiter" Erich Ahrens who served within the reconnaissance unit of the 356.Inf.Div.

During the fightings at Anzio /Nettuno and Cisterna ,Ahrens was acting under command of Fschj.Rgt.1 and in particular,"Kampfgruppe Schülz".

Ahrens was wounded on 28-11944 at Cisterna and died of wounds the next day at "Feldlazarett" Fiuggi.

The Wehrpass comes with several "Feldpost" letters written in Holland and Italy ,letters of condolance to next of kin ,photos of Erichs grave etc.etc.
