Wehrpaß - WH (Heer) - 48.Inf.Div. - France - Grobholz

Wehrpaß of "Feldwebel" Karl Grobholz.who served mainly within the 48.Inf.Div.since 1942.

Within this division ,Grobholz.served at the Belgium coast (Dixmuiden) and since August 1944 in France (fierce fightings at Paris,Metz area).

The last entry on the "Gefechtskalender" states "Teiln.(ahme) an den Kämpfe in Frankreich und an der Leyrstellung" !!

Grabholz. was awarded the EK II ,the "Ostmedaille" ,the BWB and the SWB for his efforts during the figtings in Russia and France.

The third wound on 4-9-1944 of Grabholz is interesting : "Splitterverletzung dürch Tiefflieger beschüß" (Kopf,beide Beinen) -(shrapnelwounds by low flying aircraft shooting (head ,both legs)
