Citation grouping of "Unteroffizier" Walter Altwicker who served within Schützen Rgt.79 of the 16.Pz.Div.

1) EK II citation which has been signed by "Generalmajor" and divisional commander Hans-Valentin Hube (RK 1-8-1941 ,EL 16-1-1942 ,Schw.21-12-1942 ,Brill.20-4-1944)!!!

Hube was a very brave and committed commander who died by planecrash (21-4-1944) on the way back from Obersalzberg where A.Hitler awarded him with the "Blillianten".

2)BWB citation which has been signed by the commanding officer.

3) "Ostmedaille" citation which has been signed by "Major" and batallion commander Hans Peter Knaust (DKiG 28-2-1942 ,RK 28-9-1944 ,EL 17-4-1945)!!

Knaust lost a leg on 31-12-1941 but commanded his units (after recovery) untill the very end (5-5-1945)

Knaust played a very important role during the "Battle of Arnhem" as commander of "Kampfgruppe Knaust"!!
