Wehrpass and citation grouping of "Gefreiten" Edmund Schmidt who served within Inf.Rgt.124 of the 72.Inf.Div.

1) Wehrpass of Schmidt who was awarded the "Infanterie-Sturmabzeichen" ,the BWB ,the "Ostmedaille" ,the EK II and the "Krimschild" (not entered in Wehrpass) for his efforts during the fightings in Russia and the Crimea peninsula

Schmidt was KIA by artillery on 12-10-1942 and has been buried at the "Heldenfriedhof" near Rshew

2) Unusual unit printed "Infanterie-Sturmabzeichen" citation which has been issued "Auf der Krim" (Crimea) and which has been signed by "Oberstleutnant" and regimental commander Hans-Joachim von Rochow (DKiG 26-12-1941,RK 26-12-1944)!

3) BWB citation which has been issued "Auf der Krim" (Crimea) and which has been signed by the commanding officer.

4) EK II citation which has been issued "Vor Sewastopol" !! and which has been signed by "Generalleutnant" and divisional commander Phillip Müller-Gebhard (RK 3-9-1942 ,DKiG 10-2-1944)!!

5) Attractive "Krimschild" citation which bears the stamped signature of "GFM" Erich von Manstein

6) "Ostmedaille" citation which has been signed by the commanding officer of the Stab XII.Armee Korps
