Wehrpass - Luftwaffe le.Flak Abt.884 - Eckardt

Wehrpass of "Unteroffizier" Karl Eckardt who served within few different units ,both Heer and mainly Luftwaffe

Eckardt participated as "Geschützführer" of a 2cm.Flak 38 in the aerial defense of the "Ruhrgebiet" and acted in 475 attacks!!

Eckardt was awarded the "Tätigkeitsabzeichen der Flakartillerie"

Eckardt died of "schwere Verwündüng dürch Bombemsplitter" (severe wound due to bombshrapnel) on 12-6-1944

Although the Wehrpass mentiones a hard to decypher last unit :gren.z.b.V.11500 ,I have used the "Feldpost Nr." to find out the unit Eckardt served in.

Comes with Eckardts "Sparkassenbuch" and a letter of the "Bürgermeister" (mayor) of Hannover city
