Wehrpass - Luftwaffe - Flak - Heeresguppe B - Normandy - Mikolaizik

Wehrpass of "Unteroffizier" August Mikolaizik who originated from Breslay/Poland and who served within several different Flak units.

Mikolaizik was stationed in France for 2 years (under command of 16.Flak Div.) in the Luftflotte 3 region (France)
Because of thier presence in France they were to become the "Flakschütz des Hauptquartiers des Heeresgruppe B" (flak security of HQ Heeresgruppe B) !! between 21-7-1944 and 12-2-1945 !!!!

Mikolaizik was awarded the KvK II m.Schw.

The Wehrpass has a very interesting entry on page 27 which reads: "Verpflichtbar zür Verteidigung bis züm letzten Mann im Falle einer feindlichen Angriffes.
Aufgabe Rückzug müs auf Befehl der Kom.? Gesetzten"
Brigadebefehl 2/44 ........ 28-8-1944 (obligated to defend to last person in case of enemy attack.
Pull back only on high command order)

Afterwards Mikolaizik participated in actions under command ot 3.Flakkorps at the "Westfront"!!

Mikolaizik served as a tailor within the U.S.Army for some time in captivity.
