Bielenberg was trained in the use of "Schwere Granatwerfer" (heavy 8cm.mortar) and "Machine Pistole" among others.

Bielenberg was awarded the KvK II m.Schw.and partcipated in the Norway campaign and "Bandenbekämpfung" (anti partisan) "Im Südostraum".
Bielenberg also served in Montenegro and Albania.
