Gottschlag was trained with the 8,8 cm.Flak among others.

Gottschlag was awarded the "Medaille zür Erinnerung an den 13-4-1938",the "Spanienkreuz in Silber" ,the "la cruz dee merito militar roja Medaille de la campagne" ,the "Medaille zur Erinnerung an den 1-10-1938".

The entry in red pencil on page 1 reads "Degradiert" (degraded) as can be seen on page 22 where Gottschlag "Unteroffizier" and was degraded to "Kanonier"? and then again promoted to "Gefreiten" and "Unteroffizier"!

With II/Flak Rgt.12 (gem.mot.) ,Gottschlag paricipated in securing Crete!
