Soldbuch WH (Heer) - 553.Gren.Div. - Knapp

End of August 1944 ,Knapp was handed out a "Tarnnetz" ,a nw rifle and a "Spaten"(entrenching tool) just before the 553.Gren.Div. moved to the area south of Metz.

Knapp was hit by grenade shrapnel on 18-9-1944 during the fightings at Metz!

Knapp was awarded the BWB (earlier already).

Although the swastika has been cut out ,a nice and interesting "Westfront" Soldbuch.
