Wehrpass - WH (Heer) - Sturmart.Abt.(mot) 261 - Zaefer

Wehrpass of "Leutnant der Res" Horst Zaefer who served within various (most Sturmgeschütz) units throughout his military service.

Zaefer was awarded the EK II ,the EK I ,the BWB ,the SWB ,the "Krimschild ,the "Sturmabzeichen" and the "Ostmedaille"!!

Zaefer was trained in the use of the 7,5 cm. KwK ("Kampfwagen Kanone").
Afterparticipating campaign and battles in Belgium ,France ,Yugoslavia ,Russia and Italy ,Zaefer DOW in Armee -Feldlazarett (mot) 770 in Poltawa on 16-9-1943.

This great Wehrpass has unfortunately been torn in 2 halves and later on restored by tape (which comes loose very easy.

I would not be surprised if this act was done due to grieve and anger as a reaction to Zaefers death by the next of kin (as the Wehrpass was sent back home)

Although severely damaged ,still a great Wehrpass!
