Wehrpass - WH (Heer) - 60.Inf.Div. - Stalingrad - Böck

Wehrpass of "Obergefreiten" Eustachius Böck who served within Inf.Rgt.120 of the 60.Inf.Div.

Böck participated in push to Stalingrad and was unfortunate to be KIA in this early stage of the battle.

The Wehrpass shows the entry: "Am 3-9-1942 in der Wartsid? Stellung nordwestlich Stalingrad gefallen" ( on 3-9-1942 KIA in the ? defence line Nortwest of Stalingrad) ,"Grablage: Heldenfriedhof der 60.I.D.9 (mot) am Strassenübergang 4 Km.nordostlich ?" (grave position: heroes cemetery of the 60.I.D. (mot) at the road crossing 4 kms. northeast ?

Böck was awarded the "Medaille zur Erinnerung an den 13-3-1938".

3) Short note to mother of Eustachius which mentions the place of death (Stalingrad) and grave site.

4) Letter which mentions the palce of death (Stalingrad) and the belongings of Eustachius.
