Soldbuch/citation - Luftwaffe - 17. Luftwaffe Feld Div./167.VGD - Nitsche

Soldbuch and citation of "Feldwebel" Heinz Nitsche who served within several different Flak units before he was transferred into Jäger Rgt.33 of the 17.Luftwaffe Feld Div.

After participating in fierce fightings in Normandy and Belgium ,the 17. Luftwaffe Feld Div. was eliminated and the
leftovers were used to raise the 167.VGD in Slovakia.

Last equipment addition on 16-11-1944.

Nitsche was awarded the "Deutsches Spanienkreuz in Silber mit Schwerter", the " Cruz roja del Merito Militar",the "Medalla de la Compana", the "Kreta" cufftitle, "Infanterie-Sturmabzeichen in Silber" and the KvK II m.Schw.!!!

2) "Infanterie-Sturmabzeichen in Silber" citation which has been issued to Nitsche while serving within Jg.Rgt.33 (L) of the 17.Luftwaffe Feld Div. for actions in the Normandy (most probably)!

Interesting and rather unusual military career!
